Live Music For Your Wedding Or Event?

Paul Hill - Professional Guitarist

If you are thinking about music for your wedding or any other event, you have come to the right place.

Subtle background music to provide atmosphere, a full six piece party band for dancing the night away, or anything in between. You will find a package to suit most musical tastes right here.

I live in Norwich and mainly play in Norfolk and Suffolk although I perform throughout East Anglia and further afield. I also teach guitar, so if you are interested in guitar lessons, please visit my guitar teaching website.

The guitar is such a versatile instrument and is visually exciting to watch. Why not treat your wedding guests to the endless musical possibilities of the guitar?

I have quite a few videos on my YouTube channel demonstrating many of the different styles in which I play. If you play guitar, you will also find tuition videos to help you improve your guitar playing.

Solo Guitar

A solo guitarist is perfectly suited for the following:

  • Help set the mood as your wedding guests arrive.
  • Play specific key parts of your wedding ceremony.
  • Entertain your guests at the drinks reception.
  • Enhance the atmosphere throughout the wedding breakfast.

I have a large repertoire of material and I play a mixture of many styles. As a solo guitarist, I play a mix of pop, classical,  jazz, rock, blues, latin, and even a few flamenco inspired pieces. The large range of material will suit the varying tastes of your wedding guests.

If you have a special piece of music that you would like to be played for you and it is not in my repertoire, I can learn it for you.

Acoustic Duo

Claire Barker and Paul Hill

The Claire Barker and Paul Hill Duo play a mix of styles.

With Claire, I like to perform acoustic versions of classic pop, soul and rock songs, although we also have a huge repertoire of jazz standards if that is what is required.

We like to mix things up to cater for a variety of musical tastes. If you want to see us live, you can find out when and where we are performing next via our Facebook page.

Wedding and Party Band

If you want a first class wedding party band to entertain you and your wedding guests in the evening, look no further!

I play in the Claire Barker Band which is the region’s top function band. The band consists of extremely talented musicians who play a mix of great party songs with a few surprises along the way.

If you are looking for the ultimate wedding band to get your guests on their feet the whole evening, look no further!

More information is available at the band's website.

Jazz

BJH 7 string arch top guitar

If you want a quality jazz band to perform at your wedding, look no further!

I regularly play with the best musicians in East Anglia and East Anglia has some exceptionally talented jazz musicians. The rhythm sections that I use are comprised of a world class drummer and bassist. Adding a horn, piano, vocalist or second guitar on top of this incredibly tight rhythm section will really have your wedding or party swinging!

There are many options available when it comes to choosing a line up for a jazz band. I often receive requests for specific instruments to be included. Whether you specifically want saxophone, an instrumental line up, a jazz band with vocals... I can accommodate most requests using the very best musicians.

As there are so many options available, here is a video of me improvising over the chords to the popular jazz song "Autumn Leaves" with a backing track so you can hear the guitar on its own.
